Referral window open for Gifted and Talented program

Students interested in participating in the Frisco ISD Gifted and Talented program for the next academic year can now be referred to the program. The referral window will remain open through Jan. 21 and details on the referral and screening process can be found on the Frisco ISD website.

The referral window for the Frisco ISD Gifted and Talented program is now open.

The GT program is aimed at recognizing the special needs of gifted children and meeting these unique needs through various classes and strategies. Students from kindergarten through 11th grade are eligible to be referred to the GT program. More information on the GT program can be found here.

Sankeertana Malakapalli is a senior in her third and final year in Wingspan. At school, she is president of the Youth and Government delegation and captain of the varsity Lincoln-Douglas debate team, and she plays the violin outside of school. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and doing anything artistic. She hopes to pursue a career in law.

Trisha Dasgupta is entering her fourth year in Wingspan as a senior. In addition to Wingspan, she has explored her passion for journalism through the Independent Study Mentorship program and as a high school intern at The Dallas Morning News. She has also been an avid participant of Model United Nations for the past five years and will serve as the 2021-2022 Secretary-General for the YMCA’s State Model UN program.  Her involvement in MUN and Wingspan has facilitated her passions for history, politics, and local activism.
