It was a mixed bag over winter break for the boys basketball team between stand alone games and tournament play.
“We played really good ball against good competition,” head coach Bruce Wright said. “In some cases we made a few mistakes that cost us the game, so we need to be careful in those situations”.
Another such situation presents itself Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. as the Redhawks host Heritage (15-2, 1-0).
“This is going to be a tough game, so we’ve been really utilizing our scouts and film to see what Heritage likes to do,” head coach Bruce Wright said. “We’ve also been really focused on eliminating the small mistakes in practice.”
Senior Toshiro Mahtani said that he is expecting a hard-fought game that could come down to the wire.
“We’ll just go out there and play aggressively against a very versatile team,” Mahtani said. “Try to pressure them and get some turnovers, but always be aware of what they want to do. At the end of the day we just have to leave everything out there on the court.”
