Both soccer teams found success Tuesday. The boys (6-0-1) defeated 12-5A Lone Star (4-3) 3-2 on the road, and the girls (1-4) picked up their first victory of the season, a 3-1 home win against The Colony (1-5-1).
Both soccer teams found success Tuesday. The boys (6-0-1) defeated 12-5A Lone Star (4-3) 3-2 on the road, and the girls (1-4) picked up their first victory of the season, a 3-1 home win against The Colony (1-5-1).
“We got our [first] win,” senior Caitlyn Ruback said. “It’s a good way to start the season. We will hope to build off of this and carry it into the rest of the season.”
Girls’ head coach Kyle Beggs said the game overall went very well for the team.
“There are games where you win and you go oh what can we fix,” Beggs said. “This wasn’t one of them. We played very well, we took some things that we worked on the training ground and really applied them in the game.”
