The girls basketball team (7-17, 2-5) faced Emerson (17-10, 6-1) on Friday, losing 56-21 as the team experimented with some new faces in new places.
“[At Emerson], we changed our starting lineup, and it’s a group that we wouldn’t normally go with, but they were able to take care of business the whole first quarter,” head coach Mykaela Alfred said.
The team hopes to turn things around at their game on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. when they host Frisco (5-16, 1-6).
“[Playing at home] provides a little motivation because you want to protect your house,” Alfred said. “For this game, we have two big goals. Offensively, we’re going to try to take good quality shots. And then defensively, we’re just going to try to play sound defense, as last time there were a lot of backcuts and screening and not switching.”
