After pulling off what was arguably the biggest upset of their season to date, the boys basketball team (12-10, 3-2) found themselves on the opposite end of an upset as they fell to Emerson (11-13, 2-3) 52-49 on the road Friday.
“We didn’t finish out like we had hoped but we learned a lot throughout the game,” head coach Bruce Wright said. “The main thing is handling full court ball pressure and when we do that, then executing on offense.”
Looking to get back on track and get closer to securing a playoff berth for the second consecutive season, the Redhawks host Frisco (12-9, 3-2) at The Nest Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
“Our weakness has been letting leads slip late in games,” senior guard Brandon Stephens said. “In some of recent our games, we’ve been up by double-digit margins with only a few minutes left to play and have let our opponents score to make it a one-possession game or win.”
