Facing a severe weather threat, both girls (1-5, 0-1-0) and boys soccer (8-0-3, 0-0-1) took on Frisco (girls 3-8; boys 4-2-5) Thursday to start district play, with the boys tying 2-2 in an away match and the girls losing 2-1 at The Nest.
“That was our first district game, so it was a little bit tough, but we played very hard,” girls head coach Kyle Beggs said. “I’m just hoping they can build on it.”
According to senior Caitlyn Ruback, although the rescheduling and result were not ideal, the team still enjoyed themselves.
“The game was great,” Ruback said. “A win would have been better to start off districts, but it was still super fun even though we lost.
