With their away game against Lebanon Trail pushed up from Friday to Thursday due to the threat of inclement weather, boys’ basketball (14-10) was still able to defeat the Blazers (2-22) 72-39.
“We’ve been telling the guys all year, they can play with anyone in the district and go as far as they want to go,” head coach Bruce Wright said. “It all depends on the level of intensity with which we play, and the attention to detail we bring into each game. It was fun to see them put together a solid four quarters. We’ve seen bits and pieces of great games all year, but this was one where we maintained effectiveness throughout.”
Senior guard Brandon Stephens believes the Redhawks executed their game plan fairly well, especially given the weather delay.
“It wasn’t perfect, no game ever is,” Stephens said. “But it was really satisfying to get that win and that we stayed composed with all the weather stuff going on that caused this game to be moved.”
