World geography students are exploring the world by diving into culture and population migration to see how people live, move, and connect across the globe.
People around the world adapt to their environment, move for different reasons, and shape the land around them…. and this is what world geography students are learning about in class.
“Culture and migration are connected,” world geography teacher Brenden Woods said. “As we see in a place like Frisco, as people move to it, cultures blend and it gives you the ability to learn about people’s background and other places in the world, and how they interact.”
Culture influences traditions, population affects where people live, and migration connects different places around the world.
For freshman Jack Murphy, there’s one area that is particularly interesting.
“I feel like the population, cause that topic I had to see all the different countries in the population like China,” Murphy said. “They have a super high population currently right now, but with the one-child rule the population is gonna decrease.”
