Hoping to find their first win of the season, softball (0-1) travels to Reedy Thursday through Saturday to participate in the Frisco ISD Tournament. They will face off against Denton Guyer (2-0), Prosper Walnut Grove (0-1), Sadler S&S Consolidated (1-0), and Reedy (0-0).
“The tournament will be timed games, and we will have to play multiple games in a day,” head coach Randi Hamilton said. “I’m excited to face some tough completion and challenge ourselves early in the year. Some goals I have are to simply make improvements in each game and to get some good experience under our belts.”
The lone junior on the roster, left fielder Anna Reeves, emphasizes that teamwork and mental resilience will be key to success, given the nature of the tournament.
“We need to stay up and support each other,” Reeves said. “If we make an error, we can’t let it bring us down.”
