Competing in the Denton Tournament, hosted by Denton High School, Thursday through Saturday, the softball team (5-6) went 5-1 overall.
“We did a better job playing together and having more productive at bats that we could learn from,” head coach Randi Hamilton said. “I think the more live pitching we see the better we will continue to get. Having so many games in the past couple weeks have been really good for us to be thrown into live situations we can learn from.”
Recording a .343 batting average and .461 on-base percentage, junior left fielder Anna Reeves is proud of how the team performed against their competition.
“We stayed strong and consistent,” Reeves said. “Our mentality and communication were good all weekend, even after that loss.”
