The search for a new Frisco ISD Superintendent continues as the Board of Trustees met Monday for a closed session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss a replacement for Dr. Mike Waldrip who announced in November that he would be retiring effective June 30, 2026
“It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve the students, staff and families of Frisco ISD,” Waldrip said in a Frisco ISD news release on his announcement. “Every accomplishment over the past nine years has been the result of collaboration, dedication and a shared commitment to doing what’s best for kids. As I look ahead to retirement, I do so with tremendous gratitude for this community and confidence in the continued success of the District.”
According to Frisco ISD’s site, February is when candidates would be screened, with interviews concluding in March, with a lone finalist named in mid-March, and a new superintendent hired before the end of March.
