A 39-38 loss to the The Colony (23-11, 10-4) at Plano West High School Tuesday ended the boys’ basketball team’s (19-12, 10-4) playoff journey in the first round.
A 39-38 loss to the The Colony (23-11, 10-4) at Plano West High School Tuesday ended the boys’ basketball team’s (19-12, 10-4) playoff journey in the first round.
“We played really well for most of the game and lost on a last-second shot,” head coach Bruce Wright said. “I’m incredibly proud of the guys and how tough they’ve played all season.”
Ball security played a key role in the outcome according to senior forward Gilbert Aluga.
“Early in the game, one of the challenges we faced was ball security,” Aluga said. “We’d drive in the point and they’d send a second guy at us and we’d lose either the ball or the advantage that we had created for ourselves.”
