Both soccer teams faced Centennial Friday. The boys (7-1-2, #18 in state) won 4-1 at The Nest, while the girls (1-7-2) lost 2-1 on the road.
Girls’ head coach Kyle Beggs said a loss is not the end for the team.
“The loss does make it harder for us to get a playoff spot, but we can still do that,” Beggs said. “We just have to keep fighting and refuse to be pushed down.”
Meanwhile, boys’ head coach Evan McGee said his team has some things to work on.
“We played a decent game, and we conceded a goal on an unfortunate mistake that led to a penalty,” McGee said. “They were good, but just the way the game was going for us to drop points is really the concern.”
