Up until now, the Redhawks baseball season has been about figuring things out as the team played in various tournaments. But Tuesday, the games really count as District 11-5 play starts with the Redhawks traveling to take on Frisco at 7:30 p.m.
“We know they are going to be a solid team, and we are going to have to play well,” assistant coach Ryan Houston said. “If we continue to buy into our brand of baseball, we will be fine. We’ve done our job of knowing what they want to do, and how they are going to play. I think our guys are up for the challenge.”
For team captain, junior Carson Higgs, Tuesday’s game is the chance to show what he can do after being out.
“I’m coming back from injury so I will have to find my groove again,” Higgs said. “But I have prepared well for that.”
