Spring break begins early for the softball team (3-1 in District 11-5A play) as they make the short trip to face Independence (1-3) Friday at 6:00 p.m. Following that game, the Redhawks will host Memorial (3-1) at The Nest Monday at 1:00 p.m.
“We are going to have to reset after a good couple of games and show up ready to play from the first pitch against these teams,” head coach Randi Hamilton said. “They will make plays behind their pitchers and put the ball in the play and challenge us on defense.”
Senior utility player Sam Byrnes said that she believes the team’s dynamic will be important to their success
“I love the people on the team, and how we can lock in and be serious when we need to but we can still have fun,” Byrnes said.
