The last day to withdraw from Collin College’s spring 16-week classes is Thursday. Withdrawals are options for students to drop classes after a census date and appear as “W” on transcripts. Students are encouraged to talk to either their professor or advisor before withdrawing.
“You could say the withdrawal period gives you time to get a feel for the class and help you decide if you wanna stay in it or not,” senior Chinmay Patil said. “Collin classes are usually more flexible.”
TEC 51.907 mandates that students who enroll for the first time during a semester have a course drop limit of six course drops. To avoid being given a failing performance grade, withdrawals must happen through the Workday student portal with the designated withdrawal form.
“If the class is not suitable for you, you get an opportunity to be able to drop and be in a class that is for you,” senior Moon Sharma said. “Collin classes are really flexible. You get to choose what class period you have Collin and there are no class Fridays.”
