The Easter season isn’t over on campus as is hosting the Rocky Egg Hunt Event, an opportunity for children in the community to have fun Friday from 5-7 p.m. on the practice field gathering eggs full of candy and running around socializing.
“This is our second year that the Flight Crew is putting on the Rocky Egg Hunt,” Flight Crew sponsor Yasmine Secrist said. “The idea came to me when I saw other schools and churches hosting egg hunts. I figured our mascot is a bird, so why not. I brought the idea to the students and they loved it.”
There are two main ways to participate: donating eggs to Secrist’s room (C216) or signing up for volunteering at the event.
“We intentionally put it on the same day as the baseball and softball games to promote attendance for our Redhawk teams that play in the spring,” Secrist said. “It is so fun to see kids of all ages and cultures run around finding the eggs and seeing our high schoolers interact with them. Flight Crew is about highlighting the Redhawk community, and I hope we can continue to help build the Redhawk family!”
