With a tie for the second-place spot in the District 11-5A standings on the line, the baseball team (7-3) faces Memorial (8-2) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Nest during Board Member Appreciation Night.
“Memorial will be a tough opponent,” assistant coach Ryan Houston said. “They will be able to pitch it well, and their hitters will be tough outs. We just need to continue to play our brand of baseball and play clean defensively and give ourselves a chance at the end of the day.”
Upholding a consistent approach is key for performing well at the upcoming game according to sophomore Aiden Acosta.
“[We will be] keeping the approach [of putting the ball in play] against every team we face,” Acosta said. “As long as we can keep the bats rolling, I’m confident we should put up a solid performance against Memorial.”
