Spring football had a different look on Sunday at Bacchus Park as the junior and senior classes competed against each other in the annual powderpuff game.
“I think this event is so significant because it brings a lot of juniors and seniors together,” senior Nicole Moros said.
For some students, the game has been passed down through generations.
“My mom showed me pictures of her in the powderpuff game when she was in high school,” freshman Eve Mills said. “I think it’s really cool to see how the tradition of this game has continued on today.”
Not only is this game fun for high schoolers to create lasting memories, but also for girls to get more involved in the sport.
“I think the powderpuff game leads to the rise in girls playing flag football by giving more girls the confidence and competitiveness to want to get involved in flag football,” senior Aurora Spector said.
