Redhawks on campus have the opportunity to explore their aptitude for military and civilian careers with the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery assessment.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is an assessment that helps students explore potential jobs both within the military and in general. Students will be tested on several different categories, including verbal, math, science and technical, and spatial skills.
“It really kind of helps match up things that you’re already inherently good at or things you’re already expressing interest in,” campus testing facilitator Christina Wills said. “And [it] leads you down career paths or tells [you] about careers or jobs that you didn’t even know complimented your strengths.”
All sophomores, juniors, and seniors can register to take the test, which is not limited to military entrance. To register, students can ask Ms. Wills in room C200 for more information. Registration closes on October 24th at the end of the school day.
