Medals abound at first debate competition on Saturday

The Redhawk debate team competed at their first competition of the season last Saturday at Princeton High School with roaring success. They returned to The Nest with 11 debaters and teams medaling across three categories of debate.

The debate team had their first competition of the year Saturday at Princeton High School, where the Princeton UIL Fall Classic was hosted. 

Debaters competed in three categories: LD (Lincoln Douglas), CX (Policy), and Extemporaneous Debate. Below are the results: 

LD (Novice):

  • 2nd – Samhith Akkineni
  • 4th – Sonali Rao

LD (Varsity): 

  • 3rd – Sankeertana Malakapalli

CX: 

  • 2nd – Rohan Nakkina and Ishaan Patel
  • 3rd – Aahaan Bhakta and Nazim Ayub

Persuasive Extemp:
