Students, families, and community members won’t have to wait until Halloween night to get their candy fix since band will host its 11th annual Trunk-or-Treat event Monday from 6-8 p.m., inviting attendees to enjoy an evening of fun, festivities, and sweet treats.
Attendees will be able to go from trunk to trunk collecting candy while also learning about different clubs and opportunities offered on campus.
Senior Ayush Dane is excited to represent both HOSA and tennis at this year’s event.
“I’ll be handling the HOSA and tennis trunk this year,” Dane said. “I’m really excited to see the kids that are going to be coming, just so that they can learn more about the clubs here at Liberty. The kids should come to our trunk because we’re going to have loads of candy. The theme is going to be fall, so there will be like Snoopy heads and all the leaves just fallen down, and yeah, it’s going to be really fun.”
In addition to candy, some clubs will offer themed games and activities. Theatre, for example, plans to incorporate a creative twist inspired by their upcoming production, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
“We’re going to have not just candy, but also a lot of games for little kids to play that are related to spelling,” senior and theater member Anagha Konuru said. “Not only will kids get to have fun trick-or-treating, but they might even learn about the Liberty Theatre Department if they’re interested.”
