Having notched their first win of the season against The Colony (1-6-1) Tuesday, the girls’ soccer team (1-4) now looks for a second one as they hit the road to face the McKinney North Bulldogs (3-2-1) Friday at 7:15 p.m.
“We’re relatively young, but the fight the girls have shown so far is something that I expect to help us,” head girls’ soccer coach Kyle Beggs said. “Even when they’ve been down by a lot, they’ve always kept pushing.”
While senior Caitlyn Ruback believes the Redhawks have a tough game on their hands due to the teams’ mismatched records, she is optimistic about a positive result.
“I think there will be a lot of struggles but we will make sure to stay positive,” Ruback said. “And I think we can win.”
