Debate earns top finishes at Prosper ISD UIL Invitational

The Debate Team placed in multiple events at the UIL Academic Set B Invitational at Walnut Grove High School, marking a strong performance ahead of their final competition before Districts in March.

The Debate Team competed at the Prosper ISD UIL Academic Set B Invitational at Walnut Grove High School Saturday, their second to last competition of the year before Districts in March. 

Debaters competed in two categories: Lincoln Douglas (LD) and Extemporaneous (Extemp). Below are the results: 

LD: 

  • 5th – Charita Degulapet 

Persuasive Extemp: 

  • 6th – Manini Punihani 
  • 5th – Ishaan Bhakta 

Informative Extemp: 

  • 6th – Mahi Kosuri 
  • 4th – Akshay Jagan
