The golf team participated in a tournament with Melissa ISD on Thursday, placing 5th out of 17 teams.
“The team will be working hard during Spring Break on recovery play and their scoring clubs,” head coach Shannon Glidwell said. “Several players will be competing in events outside of school during the week to prepare for our next event on March 25.”
For freshman Solomon Jones, consistency hindered performance at the tournament.
“A big challenge I faced was being able to stay consistent, not practicing for even 3 days can ruin all the development that I have made over the past couple of weeks,” Jones said. “So my goal is to always keep practicing and getting better everyday, so that I can have a good outcome in my tournaments.
