The baseball team goes for the season sweep against Independence for the second time on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at The Nest.
“We just need to continue playing without our abilities like we did [in the first game] and good things will happen,” assistant coach Ryan Houston said.
According to senior shortstop/right-hand pitcher Ishaan Krishnamurthy, the weaknesses Independence showed in the first game provides insight for the upcoming match.
“We saw one of their relief arms so we’re more prepared to see him again and we saw what their hitters’ weaknesses were so we can use them in this game,” Krishnamurthy said. “We know what they are good and bad at now. Their baserunning wasn’t the best, so we’re prepared to combat that.”
