For their final road game of the regular season, the softball team (8-4) will make the trip to challenge Memorial (6-6) Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Having previously run-ruled the Warriors 11-1, the Redhawks are hoping to pick up a series sweep.
For their final road game of the regular season, the softball team (8-4) will make the trip to challenge Memorial (6-6) Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Having previously run-ruled the Warriors 11-1, the Redhawks are hoping to pick up a series sweep.
“We’re going to have to stay engaged and fight through all the pitches,” head coach Randi Hamilton said. “We will also have to be strong on defense and confident with our at-bats.”
Part of that will come behind the plate where freshman catcher Alaina Evans plays a part in the team’s game plan.
“I’m going to be tasked with managing the game and supporting our pitcher,” Evans said. “Blocking or framing pitches, and throwing out base runners who are stealing.”
