With senior sunset behind them, seniors still have several end-of-year activities to look forward to before their final walk, including kickball, snow cones and ice cream.
“I anticipate a lot of turnout for the yearbook signing and snow cones as I’m sure students would want time to connect with their peers and enjoy some free snow cones,” assistant principal Chris Ham said. “I hope our seniors have time to reflect on their high school experience, make connections with other seniors, and have fun as they enjoy the final parts of their high school careers.”
For many students, these events serve as a final opportunity to make memories with their friends before graduation.
“I am looking forward to the yearbook signing and snow cone event because I think it will be very fun to gather with my friends, sign yearbooks, and leave messages to each other,” senior Saanvi Patel said.
For seniors like Kylie Gore, the week brings about nostalgia over her high school years.
“It’s a little sad to be saying goodbye to high school but overall I am excited to start a new chapter in college next year,” Gore said. “I will miss all my friends, especially the underclassmen who still have a year or two left. I think everyone I met is what made the high school experience what it was and why I’m sad to leave. I already know I’ll probably tear up on our final walk through the school because not only am I saying goodbye to this school but my sister who still has a couple more years to go.”
