Wingspan: What inspired you to take on art?
Jogi: “Fuel my creativity.”
Wingspan: What makes something a “work of art”?
Jogi: “I think a “work of art” is something that a person creates when inspiration strikes them. This can also refer to when an artist creates something in rebellion to something, or a way to tell the world that what they cannot by their words.”
Wingspan: What is the role of art in your life?
Jogi: “For me, art has always been a sort of peace haven for me. When things would get tough or lonely or just too overwhelming for me , I would turn to art. Sometimes it would be small doodles, sometimes even just random scratches but something I would make creative artworks. So art has a really important role in my life.”
Wingspan: What challenges and obstacles come in your way and what are you looking forward to in the future of art?
Jogi: “I had not been able to make any art for a really long time and the ones I did as a child were all lost. I had struggled with many things during the times I could not make any. It took me a lot to convince myself to not give up on art entirely and I’m glad I stuck through with the decision to pursue further in that field.”
