Wingspan: What inspired you to take on art?

Rida: “From a young age, I liked to be creative in my own ways that made me express myself. I found the inspiration through many of my friends who were in art classes.”

Wingspan: What makes something a “work of art?”

Rida: “If someone has an objective towards making something creative, then it can be considered a work of art as they put their hard work into it.”

Wingspan: What is the role of art in your life?

Rida: “In my life, art would be a type of hobby that I would be relaxed and enjoy in my free time.”

Wingspan: Is there a specific style of art that you enjoy? Or a specific style that you dislike?

Rida: “I like realistic and abstract because they look aesthetic and I find a meaning to share my feelings through them. Since I like realistic drawing style, I like to emphasize

my drawings with shading to make it look accurate and almost look real, as well as abstract, I also like to start off with drawing shapes and color in a certain way that can express the mood.”

Wingspan: What challenges and obstacles come in your way?

Rida: “A challenge would be that sometimes I get really busy with school work and other activities that I usually don’t find the time to do art. So I realize that since I stopped doing art, I’m slowly losing some of my skills.”

Wingspan: Where do you see yourself in the future with art?

Rida: “I’m looking forward to making more art in the future, as well as making big artworks to sell. Although it wouldn’t be my profession, I still have the intention to inspire more people to use their creativity.”
