As Friday marks Redhawk’s final day on campus before spring break from March 16-20, students and staff are preparing for a week away from school. After weeks of classes, tests, and extracurricular activities, many students are looking forward to the chance to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with their loved ones.
“I’m going to El Salvador to go and visit family,” senior Elliot Elainez said. “We’re going to visit some ancient ruins and hang out on the beach. I’m excited to see my cousins’ dogs because they’re grumpy and cute.”
For some seniors, the break also serves as a reminder that graduation is quickly approaching, making it one of the last extended breaks of their high school experience.
“It’s kind of crazy knowing this is one of the last big breaks we’ll have before graduation,” senior Rupal Shirpurkar said. “I’m not doing anything huge over spring break, mostly just relaxing at home, but it’s nice to take a step back and realize just how close we really are to finishing high school.”
