Some pictures are worth a thousand words. For the seniors in the orchestra program, the orchestra senior portrait is worth 44 different experiences, captured in a single frame as this year’s group picture will be taken Wednesday from 4:30–5:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
“The orchestra senior portrait is when all the seniors in dress up to take a group photo together,” senior Saanvi Patel said.
The dress code for the photo is formal, with students being requested to wear either prom formal wear, such as prom dresses or tuxedos, or formal cultural attire.
“Senior portraits are done to recognize the seniors,” senior Trisha Agarwal said. “It’s also a way for directors and students to have a nice photo of the current senior class and to keep our memory alive even after we graduate.”
The orchestra room displays years of portraits from each senior class, from a senior portrait taken in 2020 through Zoom, to the professional portraits that followed.
“I think taking a picture together with the seniors I have been with for four years in orchestra is a nice opportunity to commemorate our years as a part of the orchestra program,” Patel said. “It’s also a fun way for the underclassman to remember the senior class, since senior portraits are hung up in the orchestra room.”
