Taking on the Emerson Mavericks on Tuesday, the Redhawks soccer teams hope to find success on the pitch. The boys celebrate their seniors, while the girls are in need of a win.

In their second games of the District 10-5A season, both the Redhawks boys’ and girls’ soccer teams are searching for their first win of district play against Heritage.

“We learned a lot in our last game,” girls’ player Lily Gibbons said. “We just hope to take what we learned and apply it to Heritage.”

The Heritage boys’ team already has their first win, with this in mind, the Redhawks have been preparing extra hard.

“We know that they’re a strong team, and that they’re dangerous on set pieces,” head coach Evan Mcgee said. “So yesterday, we’re kind of working through the style and system that we want to play against them based on how we think they’re going to be lining up. We’re hoping to get out of there with the W.”
