Wingspan: What makes something a “work of art?”
Saravanan: “A “work of art”‘ is something that shows the purpose of expressing something. It communicates feelings, ideas or a message.”
Wingspan: What is the role of art in your life?
Saravanan: “Art plays an important role in my life because it helps me express my feelings. I find inspiration and relaxation, and sometimes learn new easy ways to view the world.”
Wingspan: What challenges and obstacles come in your way?
Saravanan: “I came through a lot of challenges and obstacles like in one stage of my life, I was not able to draw human eyes or features of human face. But now, after drawing a lot I could now draw it more effortlessly and without delay. I also faced challenges when I don’t have enough time, materials, or when my work doesn’t come out the way I hoped. But I see these challenges as part of learning and improving.”
Wingspan: Where do you see yourself in the future with art?
Saravanan: “I may not professionally be an artist in future but art will stay part of my life, whether through drawing or painting. It will always be something that inspires me.”
