Looking to turn things around after Friday’s loss to Heritage, the girls basketball team faces Independence (12-12, 4-7) at The Nest Tuesday at 5:45 p.m..
“One of the things we’re looking forward to doing better [against Independence] is being able to contest and run them off the three point line,” Alfred said. “Also taking care of the ball against pressure and continuously doing the same thing over and over again.”
Johnson continues that improving counters to pressure is key to performing well in the game against Independence.
“As a team, I want to improve our press break,” Johnson said. “In the past, teams have given us tight traps. If we stay composed and keep reversing the ball, then we can break it.”
