Members of the Redhawks track team are one step away from state as they get ready for the UIL 5A Region II meet at UT-Arlington Friday and Saturday.
“They are really locked in and I’m very proud of the girls for making it this far,” girls head coach Khera Vay said. “I’m excited to see what else they have to show when regional comes.
With several girls winning Area championships, Vay is hopeful many of them make state.
“I believe most of these girls will be able to compete in the state meet which is a huge achievement for all of them,” Vay said. “Our sprint team is better than the other regions so the sprinters definitely have a good chance at advancing.”
