With practices beginning weeks before school started on Wednesday, and workouts taking place throughout the summer, Redhawks athletic teams have taken flight. Here’s a look at when the fall’s primary sports (tennis, volleyball, cross country, and football) get underway.
Tennis
Getting a head start on the 2025-26 school year, the tennis team got things started with on Monday with a 15-4 win over Melissa. The team is back in action on Tuesday when they host Frisco.
Volleyball
The Redhawks are off to a 1-0 start after beating McKinney North 3-1 on Tuesday. After losing the first set 25-20, the team won the next three sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-23) to take the win. The team opens it’s 2025 home schedule on Friday when it hosts Guyer.
Cross country
The running Redhawks head to the start line for their first meet of the season on Friday at the Rockhill Twilight Invitational.
Football
New head football coach Chip Gregory and his Redhawks open the 2025 season with a non-district contest against Lebanon Trail on Aug. 29 at Kuykendall Stadium.
