The tennis team (0-4) faces Independence (3-1) at The Nest Tuesday at 4 p.m. in a District 11-5A match, hoping to make a comeback from their last contest against Heritage.
Whether the match results in a win or loss, head coach William Davis hopes the team can help each other throughout the match.
“Like Heritage, Independence is a really good team so the game this week will be tough,” Davis said. “But we’ll try our hardest, and continue supporting each other like we did last week,”
““Yeah, this match will be tough,” senior Ayush Dane said. “Some of our players are out sick, but we’re going to give it our best and push through. “The team’s been focusing on consistency, serves, and match play. We always practice until 5 p.m. whenever the weather’s good so we can make the most of our time and work on different techniques, like playing Australian doubles.”
