Natalie Marshall is a sophomore in her first year with Wingspan. On campus, she participates in band and plays flute. In her free time she likes to play and listen to music, play Dungeons and Dragons (DnD), read, and spend time with her friends.
![“I think visual camps are probably the most important part of marching season because before eighth graders even join the band or high school, they get a taste of what it’s going to look like [and] see if they actually might like doing it later on,” junior squad leader Chaitanya Rudra said. “Even though we want people to come, it just helps us understand the dynamic between the incoming class and the band that’s already existing and adjust to that, adjust to their needs and learn from them and they learn from us. ![Band and orchestra students from Vandeventer Middle School and Fowler Middle School visited the Nest last Thursday for pre-UIL. “Performing at Liberty [was] a lot more professional compared to performing at Vandeventer,” Vandeventer Middle School student 8th grader Ryo Amemiya said. “I feel like that prepares middle school students to perform as a high schooler in the future, [and] I also think [this was a] good opportunity to get to know how the high school band program works.”](https://libertywingspan.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Untitled-design-2-1-1200x800.png)
