New year, new UIL sports districts

As sports season begins, determine what team the Redhawks might be facing with new UIL districts.

With Frisco ISD having 12 high schools in the district, it is not guaranteed that each Frisco school will play one another during the course of the season. In order to determine what teams will face off during the season, the schools are separated into districts.

The UIL districts for volleyball, football, cross country, and team tennis are listed below.

Districts for Football

Class 5A Division I District 6-5A

Centennial, Frisco, Heritage, Lebanon Trail, Liberty, Lone Star, Reedy, Wakeland, Sherman

Class 5A Division II District 3-5A

Emerson, Independence, Memorial, Argyle, Carrollton Creekview, Denton, Lake Dallas
