Located in the Preston Village Shopping Center, lies a halal Korean bibimbop restaurant Wave Bowl. With cozy outdoor seating, the enjoyable indoor ambience, the plating, and the price for the portion size, it’s all worth the visit!
As we got seated, they gave us a bowl of Korean Tofu Soup appetizer that was savory with a rich flavor and a nice peppery kick. The tofu was perfectly soft and silky, and the sweet fried onions added a crunch. It had a warm, comforting flavor that was the perfect way to start the meal.
The Garden Green Chicken Bowl for $15.50 had a delicious gingery, garlicky, and herby sauce served on the side of noodles, a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg, and a mix of fresh veggies like zucchini, carrots, and scallions. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavorful ginger-garlic taste, and with the noodles swimming in that savory sauce, it was bursting with flavor. The veggies, especially the zucchini and carrots, added a crunch.

Everything tied together had an amazing delicious flavor!
For $15.50, the Mongolian Beef served with steamed rice was awesome! The sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and savory, with just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming, and the soy sauce added a savory depth. It also came with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg and crispy veggies that added a delicious crunch. The beef was tender and juicy, soaking up all the sauce. The green onions on top provided an extra burst of flavor and color and made the dish even more delicious!
Despite these tasty dishes, the Bulgogi Beef Bowl is perhaps the best. For $ 7.95, the beef was so juicy and had a wonderfully sweet and savory flavor that was perfectly balanced. The sauce was rich and savory, soaking into the rice and making every bite absolutely mouthwatering. The beef had a nice grilled taste, and the veggies provided a great crunchy texture. Plus, the kimchi added a tangy kick that made the entire dish even more flavorful.
Wave Bowl is definitely worth a visit. The flavors were everything and the cozy vibes made the experience even better. The dishes are well-priced for the portions which were extremely filling. It’s a perfect place to taste the delicious food from Korean cuisine!
