Sarayu Bongale is a senior entering her third year of Wingspan. On campus, Sarayu is involved in orchestra and is working towards getting her Certified Nursing Assistant license. In her free time, you can find her coaching swim lessons, listening to music, or reading a good classic. Sarayu is looks forward to being an Editor-In-Chief and is excited to see what is to come this year.

The Redhawks winterguard crew spent part of Spring Break competing in the Winterguard International Southwest Power Regional Finals at University of North Texas Saturday and Sunday where the group qualifyed as a finalist for the first time in the contest. “I honestly wasn’t sure how they would handle the pressure of performing under those circumstances, but they rose to the occasion,” winterguard director Eric Mills said. “I’ll admit I’m always a little nervous going into performances, but we do our best to be as prepared as possible, and fortunately it paid off.”

Orchestra students made a variety of baked goods which the judges were given to try.

The judges of the Bake Off consisted of students from each orchestra and a variety of teachers. Each judge had their own spot at their judging table, marked by a card with their name on it.

The Bake Off had a large number of spectators as orchestra students watched the event to support their friends.

Different from last year's Bake Off, judges are able to rate goods digitally to ensure the social can finish in a 30 minute advisory period.

The FISD Parent Sanctuary and Lending Library is a resource to aid those living or working with disabilities, created by the district’s special education department after parents’ requests for assistance. The library has been open to parents and teachers in the district 9 a.m.–2 p.m. every Friday since its opening in 2015, and after the reopening on Feb. 28, has been able to aid visitors more thoroughly with the recent renovations.
