Amelia Jáuregui, Staff Reporter
Amelia Jáuregui is a senior and is partaking in her first year in the Wingspan Program. Amelia is also the Best Buddies Chapter President and the President of Pulse, the student ambassador and campus climate committee. She is an active member of Junior Frisco Women’s league (and additionally one of 10 leaders of this 70+ women’s group). Amelia is also a former member of the Plano Youth Leadership program (2017, 2018) and now serves as one of 3 student advisers from her graduating class (2018, 2019, 2020). She is an active youth leader for C.R.E.W. (Confirmed Radically Empowered Witnesses) at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She is a 4 year varsity athlete for both the Cross Country and Track programs at Liberty and has received the Academic All – District award every year. She has individually qualified for the 5A State Cross Country Meet since her freshman year. She is a former gymnast who used to spend 25+ hours in the gym every week, and now has returned as a coach. Amelia is looking to study film production with an emphasis on directing and cinematography after graduating from Liberty High School.
